OUR STORY

In May 2018, Jamilah F. Bashir self-published her book Because of H.E.R., a true story of what it was like growing up with a sibling with a disability. After the release of her book, Jamilah felt the need to do more for her community in the area of special education.  She started sharing informative videos in the realm of special education on her Instagram and Facebook pages.  Seeing the positive reponse, she decided to create a non-profit that focused on educating her community about special education.  She named the non-profit after her book to always remember her sister and individuals like her.
